At the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum Dave and the kids rode a shuttle simulator.

We saw a shuttle up close,

and inflatable, space station living pods.

Aaron was really into the engines.

We bought some freeze dried icecream and gave it a taste test.

We toured Washington D. C. on the DC DUCK. The kids thought it was awesome to DRIVE right into the Potomac River!

Then we went to the Mall where they were having a Native American Festival.

After that we went to the National Air and Space Museum.

Manassas, VA

Dave is doing a job in Manassas, VA for the summer so we are tagging along!

We toured the Manassas National Battlefield Park. In the visitor's center we watched a movie that depicted some of the more gruesome realities of the Civil War, the kids were pretty subdued afterwards.
