Young Entrepreneurs

The kids have always had entrepreneurial spirits. Katie had her first Lemonade Stand when she was 5, she wrote the signs and made the lemonade herself, then she got interested in making dog treats and took them to our local Farmer's Market. She did well and developed some loyal customers.

The summer before our family vacation to Disneyland the kids decided they wanted to earn extra spending money and one way they did that was to create a product and sell it at the Thanksgiving Point Farmer's Market. Katie stuck with dog treats and Aaron made marshmallow shooters. They each ended up with more spending money than we could have ever given them.

We participated in our Farmer's Market again this year with Katie switching to hand sewn bags and friendship bracelets, Aaron stuck with marshmallow shooters and Noah launched his line of foam noodle swords.
