While on our Easter Candy Internet Exploration (see links under How It's Made and For Fun) we found that people seem to like to experiment on Peeps; so we decided to do a little experiment/snack with Peeps too. We knew from making s'mores around the campfire that marshmallows expand when heated so we thought we'd make some Peep s'mores but instead of roasting the Peeps we'd put them in the microwave and see what happened.
As you can see, we were not disappointed, the Peeps got huge! We found if you cook them too long the marshmallow deflates and tastes burnt but if you stop at the height of puffiness you get a yummy snack.
